Karen Bazela is Vice President of Retail Sales for Southwire Company and has more than 15 years of business leadership experience. Southwire Company is the largest manufacturer in North America of electrical wire and cable, and accessories. In her current role, she is responsible for sales in the Hardware, MRO, Automotive, Dot Com, and Mass Merchant channels. Karen attended the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia, where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration. She resides in Atlanta with her husband, Will, and son, Sigmund

Executive Board

LaToya Parker is a CFP®, MBA and President of Infinity Financial, LLC.  She is a graduate of Georgia State University and a Certified Financial Planner™ with over 10 years’ experience in the insurance and financial services industry. She is Series 7, 63, and insurance licensed as well as an instructor at RS Thomas Training Associates and The National Alliance for Insurance Education. Latoya lives in Marietta, Georgia with my daughter, Logan, and two Yorkies named Winston and Bud.

Jenny McDade has been the director of the Douglas Co Juvenile Programs Administration Department since 1988.  She is a graduate of the University of Georgia.  Jenny has spent her entire career dedicated to serving families in our community.  She has over forty years of experience in human services and working with children and families. She has extensive training in grants and program development.  Jenny lives in Douglasville Georgia with her family

Management Team

Christine Calahan is a professional Program Facilitator, including youth and parent programs.  Her most recent roles included, Board of Directors Chair and Director of a non-profit that is responsible for providing community programs.  Christine graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Communication and has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). She has had a successful career in Management and Sales, and has been recognized for her ability to build strategic business partners.   She lives in Douglasville with her family.

Management Team

Deena Davis was born and raised in Douglas County. She is currently employed by the Douglas County Board of Commissioners as a Recovery Support Specialist for the Family Dependency Treatment Court and as an Intake officer for Juvenile Programs. She is certified as a CARES, Certified Addictions Recovery Support Specialist through DBHDD. Deena served on the board of the Family Alliance of Paulding for 5 years and was a volunteer for the Georgia Meth project for 3 years.  Deena is also a person in long term recovery from substance use disorder and a graduate of the Family Treatment Court in Douglas County

Management Team

Jill Hopson currently serves as the Community Program Manager at the Douglas County Juvenile Court. Jill is a graduate of the University of West Georgia, where she obtained her degree in Sociology. Jill began her career in 2002 at Douglas County Juvenile Programs. Currently, Jill is Chair of the Local Interagency Planning Team (LIPT). Jill seeks and writes grants for programs that will benefit the youth of Douglas County.  She has implemented and manages grants for an Evening Reporting Center, LINK/ LIPT, a youth diversion program for low-risk youth, and parenting classes. Jill lives in Smyrna, Georgia.
